Daytime Postpartum Support

Bringing a new baby home from the hospital can be an adjustment for everyone -
 we can help.

Daytime Postpartum Support

Whearas a birth doula provides support during the actual labor of a baby, a postpartum doula specializes in the care of the family during the period after birth - also known as the "fourth trimester".

The support that our daytime Specialist's provide is top-notch. Anticipating your needs — food, water, rest, emotional support — makes the difference in the overall wellbeing of the entire family.

The following are examples of typical daytime postpartum doula services:

  • Baby care tasks such as diaper changes, naps, feedings, and baths

  • Educating parents on baby soothing and bonding techniques

  • Assisting with postpartum comfort measures and emotional support for mom

  • Helping with lactation support

  • Making healthy snacks and meals for the family

  • Care of older siblings

  • Dishwashing, bottle/pump parts washing, tidying up, and doing laundry

Our daytime Specialists are highly sought after because of their depth of experience. They are typically booked for 1 to 6 months at a time, working 4+ hour shifts for 2+ days/week.
